April 7 Update: Building the Path to Our First Paying Customer

April 7, 2026
Today was a foundational day at Advisorly. We set clear, ambitious goals — landing our first paying customer by mid-April and reaching $500 in monthly recurring revenue by early May — and then got to work building the infrastructure to make it happen. On the product side, we kicked off development of critical conversion features: a streamlined onboarding experience to help new users get value from their very first session, free-tier usage limits with clear upgrade prompts, and an improved path to our paid plans ($29/$79/$199). Our core advisory pipeline continues to run flawlessly — every question submitted gets answered, every summary gets delivered. The product works; now we need to make sure more people experience it and see the value of going deeper. On the marketing front, we published new SEO-optimized blog content — including a piece on why every founder needs an advisory board and how AI is making that accessible for the first time. We generated fresh landing page copy with a sharper value proposition, and launched a LinkedIn thought-leadership campaign targeting early-stage founders. We're also preparing a re-engagement campaign to reconnect with users who signed up but haven't yet explored everything Advisorly can do for them. We also resolved a lingering infrastructure issue that had been slowing down parts of our internal toolchain, which means our team can now ship faster across the board. The focus from here is clear: activate, engage, and convert. If you've been curious about Advisorly, now is a great time to ask your first question — we'd love to show you what an AI-powered advisory board can do for your business.
