Today was a heads-down engineering and strategy day at Advisorly. We took a hard look at our user journey and identified that too many new signups weren't making it to their first advisory question — the moment where Advisorly's value really clicks. So we're rebuilding the onboarding experience from the ground up: a guided flow that helps founders create their company profile and ask their first strategic question within minutes of signing up.
On the content side, we published our first blog post — "Why Every Founder Needs an Advisory Board (And How AI Makes It Accessible)" — with more SEO-focused articles on the way. We're building out a proper content hub at advisorly.org/blog to help founders discover us through the questions they're already searching for. We also began work on an automated welcome email sequence so new users get helpful guidance right from the start, rather than being left to figure things out alone.
Behind the scenes, we're also laying the groundwork for a clearer free-to-paid upgrade path. Our 23 AI advisors are fully operational and delivering thoughtful, multi-perspective responses — now it's about making sure every founder who signs up actually experiences that value. We're targeting a dramatically improved activation rate over the coming weeks and remain focused on earning our first paying customers by the end of April.
